Safety Measures
As of July 12, 2023
Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, CIM's health and safety policies have been designed to respond to changes in conditions on our campus and prioritize the ability of our students to focus on their musical growth and development. With the start of a new school year approaching, we will continue to monitor conditions regarding COVID-19 and other infectious diseases to keep our community healthy and the music playing.
The COVID-19 vaccine and subsequent boosters continue to offer defense against serious illness and are strongly recommended. Information about vaccines and boosters can be found here. Proof of vaccination, booster, and negative test is no longer required by CIM.
Students taking courses at Case Western Reserve University are required to follow CWRU safety guidelines to attend classes on their campus. Currently, CWRU does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or masking, but strongly encourages everyone to stay current with their COVID-19 immunizations.
If you feel unwell, whether or not you believe the symptoms are related to COVID, flu, or another highly contagious illness, please stay home and take care of yourself. If you test positive for COVID, notify the appropriate person below. If you have an exposure, there is no requirement to notify CIM but please follow CDC guidelines. Those guidelines can be found here. Students living in 1609 Hazel who test positive for COVID should notify the Resident Director immediately so appropriate arrangements can be made.
