Introduction
Eugenia Poustyreva, concert violinist, orchestra soloist, chamber music artist and violin teacher, has performed in the former USSR and in Europe. Listed in “Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers,” Poustyreva has taught at Saint Petersburg Conservatory and led numerous master classes in USSR, Germany and Czechoslovakia.
Her students have won numerous competitions and have been invited to appear as soloists with orchestras such as Berliner Philharmonic, San Francisco Symphony, International Youth Orchestra, European Summer Festival Orchestra, CIM Orchestra, and more.
Poustyreva’s students have earned key roles as members or concertmasters of different youth orchestras. Among those who pursued a professional career in music are current members of New York Philharmonic, Mariinsky Orchestra, Saint Petersburg Philharmonic, and others.
