Nearly 40 Vocal Students Take Stage for Spring Scenes
In its annual Spring Scenes program, the Cleveland Institute of Music presents staged selections from 11 operas that span more than 160 years of music history. The performances also mark David Bamberger’s farewell to Cleveland after 14 years at the helm of CIM’s Opera Theater department.
On April 20-22, nearly 40 talented student vocalists will perform scenes from operas ranging from Mozart’s The Magic Flute to Massenet’s Manon, from Richard Strauss’ Ariadne auf Naxos to Gilbert & Sullivan’s H.M.S. Pinafore, from Bernstein’s Trouble in Tahiti to Verdi’s La Traviata, and so much more.
Spring Scenes is under the direction of David Bamberger; John Simmons is music director and accompanist.
Mark your calendars and reserve your tickets today to see Spring Scenes on CIM’s Kulas Hall stage! Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for kids and $15 for groups of 10 or more.
