Deck the Halls with Chamber Music
Throughout the first two weeks of December, the halls at CIM will be filled with chamber music! From December 1-14, CIM presents its Winter Chamber Music Festival, featuring a series of student recitals, faculty recitals and master classes.
CIM students of every instrument and configuration, from percussion and brass ensembles to students in CIM’s Intensive String Quartet and Advanced Piano Trio Programs, will showcase a semester’s worth of hard work. Concerts include programs of Béla Bartók, Dvořák, Schumman, Beethoven, Ravel and more. CIM’s Preparatory Chamber Music and Young Artist Program departments will also present chamber music recitals.
Additionally, CIM welcomes guest artists, the Juilliard String Quartet, for master classes and a special guest concert in collaboration with the Cleveland Chamber Music Society. To top off an already incredible month of music making, CIM’s faculty and resident string quartet, the Cavani String Quartet, will be joined by CIM guitar faculty Colin Davin, to perform a recital entitled, An Italian Serenade.
