Introduction
Abbey Hansen serves as the long-term Suzuki cello teacher trainer for the master’s of Suzuki pedagogy and cello performance major and is the instructor of the Suzuki cello pedagogy courses. In addition to her work with conservatory students, Hansen runs and teaches in the Cleveland Cello School, a large private cello studio that works in association with other Cleaveland area Suzuki teachers forming the Cleveland Center for Suzuki Studies. An in-demand guest clinician, Hansen regularly teaches and lectures at workshops and institutes throughout the United States and Haiti. She has also performed in several chamber music ensembles in Chicago and has been featured in faculty and alumni recitals throughout the Midwest.

- Northern Illinois University, (Dutton Low Strings Fellow) MM in cello performance and pedagogy and a Performers Certificate
- Her primary teachers include Betsy Hawtrey, Janet Anthony and Marc Johnson.
