CIM Student and Alumna Make Music with Art Installation

Watch CIM collaborative piano student Fangfei Chen and violinist Jinjoo Cho, a recent CIM graduate, make good use of one of the Play Me, I’m Yours Cleveland pianos in this video taken on a beautiful summer night in Cleveland’s Uptown community.

The video was shot on July 19, 2013, and shared by the artistic mind behind the Play Me, I'm Yours art installation, British artist Luke Jerram.

CIM is participating in the Play Me, I'm Yours Cleveland art installation, which coincides with the Cleveland International Piano Competition, by offering an educational take on piano decoration portion of the project. A Plexiglas "window" was installed on the upright piano enabling players to see the inner workings of the instrument. A model and a numbered legend provides further guidance on how a piano works.
