About the program
In CIM's Young Composers Program, composition students ages 14-19 immerse themselves in the world of contemporary music, learning about the field of new music while developing creative and professional skills. Through lessons, seminars and discussions, participants learn about the craft of composition. Directed by Keith Fitch, head of CIM’s composition department, the program culminates in two concerts of diverse and exciting student works.
