Event cancelled
CANCELLED: Music Theory Colloquium with William Rothstein
In response to concerns about the rapid spread of COVID-19, the Cleveland Institute of Music has canceled all public events and performances through April 6, 2020. Unfortunately, these events will not be rescheduled.
About
Simple musical textures may conceal surprising complexities; Schenkerian analysis is well suited to teasing these out; doing so can provide inspiration to the analytically minded performer. During this colloquium with guest speaker William Rothstein, instrumental music by Haydn, Beethoven and Mozart will be analyzed.
