FEBRUARY EVENT PREVIEW!

CIM Opera Theater Replaces Rossini With Humperdinck

The CIM Opera is having a fairy tale season. Following a successful staging of Massenet’s Cendrillon (Cinderella) in the fall, artistic director David Bamberger decided to keep the magic going with Englebert Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel February 29 – March 3.

This reflects a change from the published Concert Guide. Originally, Rossini’s La Cambiale di Matrimonio was slated for the first production in the New Year, but following in the footsteps of television producers, the Opera Theater opted for a “mid-season replacement” that will delight audiences of all ages.

Sung in its original German, the production features projected translations. Buy online at cim.edu or call the CIM Box Office at 216.791.5000, ext. 411 for tickets and information.
