CIM welcomes Stanislav Khristenko, 2013 CIPC Winner and CIM Alum
Stanislav Khristenko, winner of the 2013 Cleveland International Piano Competition (CIPC) and a Cleveland Institute of Music alumnus, returns to CIM's Kulas Hall stage at 8pm on Sunday, May 11, for a recital presented by CIPC and featuring works by Bartók, Liszt, Chopin and more.
Khristenko, a former student of renowned pianist and pedagogue Sergei Babayan, took top honors in the 2013 competition last August -- earning him a recording contract, three years of professional management and a debut performance at Carnegie Hall, in addition to a monetary prize.
This concert will be a preview of Khristenko's Carnegie Hall debut program, which will be performed in Carnegie's Zankel Hall on Monday, May 19 at 7:30pm.
