CIM Elects Michael Beedles to Board of Trustees
The Cleveland Institute of Music gained significant financial expertise on Wednesday, March 16, with the election of Michael Beedles to its Board of Trustees.
Beedles, a certified public accountant in Ohio, is senior vice president and chief financial officer at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland.
“Just as CIM seeks the best and brightest young musicians to train, so do we on the Board of Trustees look for the best business leaders,” said CIM Board Chair Susan A. Rothmann, PhD. “With his long experience in a variety of industries, Michael Beedles will be a real asset and I am grateful for his commitment to CIM.”
Beedles has been with the Federal Reserve since 2018. His duties there have been to manage finance, risk management and business continuity functions and to oversee diversity and inclusion programs for employers and suppliers.
Prior to his current post, Beedles was vice president of finance at Kalibrate, controller and director of accounting at Things Remembered, director of finance at Thompson Hine LLP and senior manager in the audit and advisory practice at Arthur Andersen LLP. He lives in Cleveland with his wife Sherri and holds a degree in accounting and finance from the University of Cincinnati.
“As his distinguished resume makes abundantly clear, Michael understands the vital role sound financial guidance plays at high-achieving institutions,” said CIM President and CEO Paul W. Hogle. “We at CIM are committed to being the future of classical music, and we are fortunate to have someone like Michael committed to helping us get there.”
