GUIDE TO LIBRARY RESOURCES
DICTION
The following resources describe diction rules and practices to be employed
when singing in various languages. Several use the International Phonetic Alphabet
to demonstrate examples. Diction resources are located at the call number MT
883. The Robinson Music Library call number is provided (in bold print) for each
title listed. The library also subscribes to IPA Source, the web's largest library of IPA transcriptions and literal translations of opera aria, art song, and Latin liturgical texts.
